The food was really good, not too busy so we were serviced so quickly. Our amazing server Carynne was the best. Super nice, very attentive, overall amazing service from her. We would come back just to be served by her again.

Stranded on Black Bear Island – and Loving It! If I ever found myself stranded on a deserted island, I wouldn’t wish for a rescue—I’d just hope the entire team from Black Bear Diner was there with me. These chefs are working like culinary warriors, pumping out hot, fresh food like it’s their life’s mission. The pancakes? Crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy inside—pure breakfast perfection. The syrup? Hot, smooth, and drizzled like liquid gold. The eggs? Cooked to the exact level of perfection that makes you question if you’ve ever had eggs this good before. And the staff? Absolute legends. Leo, the main server, is a one-man army, pounding away at the order screen like a wizard casting spells, making sure every plate comes out flawlessly. The teamwork in this place is so on point, I half expected them to high-five in slow motion like a championship sports team. If I were lost on an island, this is the crew I’d want by my side—because with food this good and service this incredible, who would ever want to leave? 5 out of 5 bear paws.

Food is absolutely delicious. The country fried steak and pumpkin pancakes were on point. Definitely incorporate breakfast here into your rotation of to-go food places.

Corinne was our server she was phenomenal! Our drinks were never empty, she got every special request right, and was so kind. Our food was also so good, definitely recommend the biscuits and gravy!

Always a great stop. Plenty of options with a great breakfast special and reasonable pricing on everything else. Friendly staff. Clean bathroom which is always a tell bout the owner, employees and the establishment. This time we were at the American Fork location. Definitely recommend stopping here for a bite to eat.

I had a fantastic experience at Black Bear Diner, thanks in large part to our amazing server, Reina. From the moment we arrived, she was warm, attentive, and incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. She offered great recommendations, kept our drinks filled, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. Reina’s exceptional service truly elevated the entire visit—she’s the kind of server who turns a good meal into a great memory. Highly recommend dining here, especially if you’re lucky enough to be seated in her section!

Robin is the best server we’ve had this year! Friendly, knowledgeable, outgoing and just a great person. We hope to see her again the next time we go to black bear diner! Food was amazing especially the pumpkin spice pancakes, so delicious! Oh yeah and the freshly squeezed orange juice also delicious!
